About

Writing consultants work with writers at all levels of experience, across all majors. Students can meet with trained peers who offer friendly critiques of written work.

Our services include:

• Individual writing consultations in any subject
• Assistance with planning, revising, documenting papers
• In-class orientations and workshops: Faculty may request a class visit by a consultant to talk about our services, offer a short workshop on an academic writing topic, or stage a "mock tutorial" with a second writing consultant.

Students can meet with writing consultants in person or through Zoom during their scheduled shifts.

Faculty can have their classes participate in the Writing Across the Curriculum program, and a student writing consultant will be assigned to work with class participants on their writing projects.

Interested students can train to become writing consultants.
